So the meme Music Monday is common-place, and I haven't been doing it. Still, I get asked about music a good bit (I can't imagine why. It's not like I talk about it all the time or anything, right?), so I will start doing a few pieces each Monday.
Now, to do this right, I need a theme each week. And this week, since I'm kind of poking fun at myself and my love of music, and also at the meme itself, I figured I could do parodies. I love me some good parodies. So here are some of my favorite musical parodies. Evah.
I have to start with this one. You have to love a song that parodies Taylor Swift while simultaneously poking fun at memes. Which makes it uniquely perfect for kicking off this post.
This one is a parody of a song which is, in itself, a parody of itself. There are numerous, nay infinite parodies of LMFAO's Sexy and I Know It, but this one is my hands-down favorite.
I was considering including the Key of Awesome parody of Ke$ha's Tik Tok, but the puking thing makes too many people green. Though the parody is excellent. Instead here's the parody of Adam Lambert's Whataya Want from Me? [It's worth noting that I'm a squeeing Lambert fan]
And my favorite parody. Ever. Ever ever ever. Can't beat Weird Al for the parodies, and while Eat It, Amish Paradise, All About the Pentiums, and Pretty Fly for a Rabbi all rock the awesome, this one is the one that just sticks for me.
But I simply can't leave you without this vid - which isn't technically a parody, as it's really more a straight up cover, but when the Muppets do the cover, well, what can you say?
